Lots happening in Milton Ontario this fall.  Here is a taste:


September 16: Milton United Way kicks off its annual campaign.  What’s the goal this year? Join them at Mohawk Raceway in Campbellville at 5pm to kick it off.  Music, fun, and a good cause.

September 17: Hope In High Heels: Join Milton men as they walk Main St. in high heels to raise awareness for Halton Women’s Place, and violence against women.  Registration begins at 12:30pm, and the walk at 1:15.  Guys: You can still sign up online here.  Also happening today: Movie Night Under The Stars in Downtown Milton at 8pm, and Bella Electric Strings with Mimi Carew.  This one benefits the Milton District Hospital Foundation.

September 29: 5:30-7:30 Circle of Women Who Care: This group returns for its second year.  It’s aimed at Milton’s women leaders, and designed to promote the United Way, and its member agencies.  For more information visit their Facebook Event Page.  Also happening tonight: Halton Tweet-up from 6-9pm at Rad Brothers.  Organizers ask that you bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank, and register here

October 2: 2-4:30pm: High Tea for the Townsend-Smith Foundation: This returns to Seasons’ Retirement Community for the second year.  The Townsend-Smith Foundation aims to establish a hospice in the Milton area.  Tickets are available by calling Andrea at: 905-864-6888.  Sittings are at 2pm, 3:15pm and 4:30pm.


October 4: 6pm-8pm: Community Celebration Campaign Launch: With the Hospital expansion in its final stages the fundraising moves into a different stage.  Join the Milton District Hospital Foundation (M.D.H.F.) as they launch their “Our home, Our Hospital” campaign at St. Benedict Catholic Elementary School.  Special guests include Laurie Goodman with her Life Messages’ book.
